The Leie region is especially nice for cycling and walking. We have our own cycle route named after our business (The "Herenhuis"Cycle Route).
In Wallemote Castle you can take a nice walk in the green lung of our city and there are also several playgrounds for the youngest among us.
In the Lys region, you can enjoy the Lys, sail along canals, swim in open-air pools, stay with a view of the water or dine next to a river. The Lys region also has culture.
In Izegem, you can visit Eperon D'or museum, the shoe and brush museum par excellence and something the ‘pekkers’ of Izegem are very proud of. In brewery ‘Bierkasteel’ and the Oude Maalderij you can taste beer and see how everything is made.
Cultuurhuis ‘De Leest’ is a brand-new cultural centre with a theatre (up to 450 people), all technical facilities, multipurpose rooms, cultural café,... Easy access and ample parking.
The Frunpark, a shopping centre, is also 300 metres from the "Herenhuis". At 800 metres we have a sports stadium where you can run small or big tours.
