The Saint Rita is our holiday home named after the patroness of hopeless cases. It is uniquely located just opposite the church of Waterland-Oudeman. Nearby in one of the creeks is Chris Ferket's famous sculpture 'When the fox preaches passion, farmer watch your geese'. The image of Reynaert followed by six geese is also depicted as a symbol for the Meetjesland.
The rooms
The house consists of 5 bedrooms with a double bed and each with its own bathroom, toilet, TV and WIFI. Two bedrooms can be extended with an extra bed (surcharge EUR 50.00 per stay). Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There is a very spacious living room with a lounge and a dining table for 12 people.
All comfort
The kitchen is new and contains everything you need for a nice, comfortable holiday (dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, professional work table, ceramic hob, coffee machine, juicer, toaster, blender, etc.) In the utility room you will find a washing machine , drying cabinet, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and iron.
Garden with privacy
Outside there is a large garden which is fully walled and child friendly. There is a large terrace with garden furniture and 2 large parasols. You can barbecue, play petanque or cube to your heart's content. Nearby there are renowned and well-known restaurants with eel as a characteristic specialty.
Holiday home De Heilige Rita is within walking distance of the polder restaurant De Roste Muis, in the middle of creeks. The village of Waterland-Oudeman is located in the vast landscape near the Dutch border.
Time has stood still here. The nature around it is of an even rarer beauty. With polders, creeks and canals. Sluis, Zierikzee, Cadzand, Knokke-Heist, Het Zoute and Ghent are nearby.
