Aplace has 2 large suites and 2 city flats. Both suites and flats have been completely renovated since december 2012. The decoration, mainly vintage style mixed with a few new objects, guarantee you a warm and cosy homefeeling.
The suites (2nd floor)
both have a sitting corner with sofa, digital tv, a docking station, dvd-player, a shared kitchinette with Illy espresso machine, a perculator and a little fridge. The bathroom has a walk-in / rainshower. One of them has an amazing square view, the large windows offer you a postcard view at night. The second suite (the cabin) is situated in the back of the building and is extremely cosy.
Both flats (1st & 3rd floor)
have a fully equipped kitchen, a brown marble bathroom with tub/rainshower, a seperate restroom, a very bright and cosy living room and 2 bedrooms. The view on the Vrijdagmarkt is amazing, The large windows offer you a postcard view at night.
The Aplace building is situated on a charming, little square ‘De Vrijdagmarkt’ in the middle of the old town, in centre Antwerp. Around the corner of ‘de Groenplaats’ and ‘de Grote Markt’, the designer shops and the ‘Kloosterstraat’, known for its antique en curiosa. The ideal spot to discover this charming city!
‘De Vrijdagmarkt’ is a quiet, but vivid square that hasn’t been discovered by the big audience yet and ideal to meet local people.
Very unique and traditional is the weekly furniture/objects auction on ‘de Vrijdagmarkt’. Here you can buy for a cheap price vintage stuff and if you are lucky, you might even find valuable objects.
On this square you’ll also find the world famous Plantin-Moretus museum. The only printing/publisher in the world from the Renaissances and baroque time which has kept remained
In the ‘Nationalestraat’ (= around the corner) and in the neighbourhood you can spend your money in the various designer shops of famous Antwerp and international designers. (Dries Van Noten, Filippa K, Diane von Furstenberg, Paul Smith, Stephan Schneider, Anna Heylen, …).
