"Schoon Goed" (old Dutch for "Beautiful Property") is located in the middle of a quiet village, very close to the church. Once passed the large rustic gate, you’ll be charmed by the beauty and peace of this hideaway with its verandas, annexes, meadow with sheep and orchard.
What can you expect?
"Siri" is a spacious luxury guest room; "Mrs Dalloway" the suite.
The rooms have a sitting area, comfortable beds with bath and shower en-suite. Mrs Dalloway also has its own salon and an extra sofa bed. The rooms are equipped with internet connection and tv.
"Hella", the family home, has three two-person bedrooms with comfortable beds and an extra sofa bed. There is a bathroom with bath and shower and a large living room.
The breakfast area with its open kitchen is on the ground floor. There is also a spacious sitting area with a view on the courtyard and garden. The ground floor is an ideal meeting and work space.
"Hella" is also available for rent as a holiday home for longer stays.
The many secluded verandas allow the guests to find their own relaxing space.
The large covered terrace catches the evening sun and makes the ideal spot for quiet time or socialising into the late hours.
The Haspengouw area is a rich agricultural region since ancient times. Its small villages are surrounded by orchards and pastures. These are set in a fertile rolling landscape as far as the eye can see. This region is known as “the Tuscany of the North”, with panoramic views, quite villages punctuated by church towers among small hills. Old square farms with courtyards, castles and country houses bear witness to the richness of this land. You can easily wander among the fields and orchards by bike or on foot. The colours, smells and setting allow one to rediscover peace and calm.
